Kentucky High School Basketball - Harlan County knocks off Mercer County
January 17, 2025: Harlan, KY 40831 In Friday's non-league battle, the host Harlan County Black Bears basketball squad scored a nice 53-36 victory over the Mercer County Titans.
With the victory, Harlan County advances its record to 13-4 on the year. The Black Bears travel to Christian Academy-Louisville (Louisville, KY) to meet the Centurions in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Centurions enter the battle with a record of 5-7. Christian Academy-Louisville lost 95-60 in their recent non-league battle against St. Xavier (Louisville, KY)
The Titans now own a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryan Station for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. Mercer County will meet a Defenders squad coming off a 64-56 league win over Henry Clay (Lexington, KY). The Defenders record now stands at 14-3.
