In Friday's league contest, the visiting Point Loma Pointers basketball team scored a close 49-47 win over the La Jolla Vikings.

The Pointers (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA). The Marauders come into the City contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Mira Mesa edged Lincoln (San Diego, CA), 73-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. La Jolla will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The Chieftains come into the contest with a 8-10 record after their 66-45 league win over High Tech SD (San Diego, CA).
