The Shepard Astros basketball squad (Palos Heights, IL), was crushed 64-43 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL)

With the victory, Thornton Fractional North advances its record to 10-6 on the year. The Meteors travel to Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL) to meet the Grizzlies in a non-league battle on Sunday, January 19. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a record of 10-7. Payton College Prep won 48-24 in their recent non-league battle against Brooks (Chicago, IL)

The Astros now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tinley Park for a South Suburban battle on Tuesday, January 21. Shepard will meet a Titans squad coming off a 63-55 league loss to Argo (Summit, IL). The Titans record now stands at 8-9.
