Oregon High School Basketball - Phoenix triumphant over Mazama
January 17, 2025: Phoenix, OR 97535 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR) and the visiting Mazama Vikings (Klamath Falls, OR), observed Phoenix's basketball team overwhelm Mazama by a margin of 51-17.
The Pirates (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR). The Pelicans come into the 4A Skyline challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Klamath Union was trounced by Bend (Bend, OR), 67-30, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Hidden Valley Mustangs (Grants Pass, OR) in a 4A Skyline challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Mazama will attempt to better on its 0-14 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 62-30 league loss to Henley (Klamath Falls, OR).
