January 17, 2025: Mescalero, NM 88340 The Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) basketball crushed the host Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), 61-33 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Wolverines now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Loving for a 2A District 4 bout on Monday, January 20. Texico will play a Falcons team coming off a 39-29 non-league win over New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM). The Falcons record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Mescalero Apache falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Capitan (Capitan, NM) to play the Tigers in a 2A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-12.
