Michigan High School Basketball - Buckley overwhelms Bear Lake
January 18, 2022: Bear Lake, MI 49614 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI) and the host Bear Lake Lakers (Bear Lake, MI), saw Buckley's basketball squad wallop Bear Lake by a tally of 65-26.
With the victory, Buckley improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Onekama (Onekama, MI) to confront the Portagers in a Northwest challenge on Friday, January 21. The Portagers come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Onekama lost 58-40 in their recent league challenge against Mesick (Mesick, MI)
Next up, the Lakers confront the Brethren Bobcats (Brethren, MI) in a West Michigan D challenge, on Thursday, January 20. Bear Lake will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 44-31 league loss to Mason County Eastern (Custer, MI).
