Kansas High School Basketball - Blue Valley Southwest overwhelms Sumner Academy
January 18, 2022: Kansas City, KS 66101 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves (Overland Park, KS) and the host Sumner Academy Sabres (Kansas City, KS), saw Blue Valley Southwest's basketball squad wallop Sumner Academy by a tally of 86-52.
With the victory, Blue Valley Southwest improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS) to play the Salthawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 21. The Salthawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Hutchinson won 50-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Olathe South (Olathe, KS)
Next up, the Sabres play the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Sumner Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
