The Irvington Blue Knights basketball team (Irvington, NJ), was toppled 80-61 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ)

The Blue Devils now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia for a Super Essex - American battle on Thursday, January 20. Central will confront a Cougars team coming off a 65-53 league loss to Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.

The Blue Knights (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Arts (Newark, NJ). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Arts beat Payne Tech (Newark, NJ), 50-46, in a non-league battle.
