The Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) basketball knocked off the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 67-58 in Tuesday's league test.

The Aztecs (6-11) will now prepare for their test against El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Golden Hawks go into the non-league test with a 18-5 record. In their last test, El Dorado notched a victory over Brea Olinda (Brea, CA), 71-44, in a league test.

The Vanguards now own a 12-10 record. They play next when they travel to Brea Olinda for a North Hills test on Thursday, January 20. El Modena will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 71-44 league loss to El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-10.
