Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Imperial Tigers (Imperial, CA), 50-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Palo Verde Valley upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Vincent Memorial (Calexico, CA) to clash with the Scots in a Desert bout on Friday, January 21. The Scots go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Vincent Memorial lost 60-57 in their recent non-league bout against Coronado (Coronado, CA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Holtville Vikings (Holtville, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 19. Imperial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 43-39 league loss to Brawley (Brawley, CA).
