Rogers Pirates (Florence, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mars Hill Bible Panthers (Florence, AL), 60-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rogers upgrades its record to 11-12 on the season. The Pirates travel to Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 28. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 17-3.

Next up, the Panthers play the Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL) in a 2A Area 16 bout, on Monday, January 24. Mars Hill Bible will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 70-60 non-league win over Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL).
