January 18, 2022: New London, CT 06320 The New London Whalers basketball team (New London, CT), was nudged 45-44 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT)
The Golden Hurricanes now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Hartford for a non-league battle on Friday, January 21. New Britain will battle a Hornets team coming off a 64-40 non-league win over Tolland (Tolland, CT). The Hornets record now stands at 5-4.
The Whalers (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Vikings come into the Eastern Connecticut I battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, East Lyme was nudged by Conard (West Hartford, CT), 49-44, in a non-league battle.
