Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon overwhelms Richmond

January 18, 2022: Fortville, IN 46040

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad wallop Richmond by a count of 51-21.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to East Central (St. Leon, IN) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 22. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 17-4. East Central won 70-35 in their recent league challenge against Franklin County (Brookville, IN)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Kokomo Wildkats (Kokomo, IN) in a North Central challenge, on Friday, January 21. Richmond will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Wildkats come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 42-34 non-league loss to Tipton (Tipton, IN).
