Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX), 42-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley View upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Eagles host Callisburg (Gainesville, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 21. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Callisburg lost 52-22 in their recent league bout against Paradise (Paradise, TX)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Whitesboro Bearcats (Whitesboro, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, January 21. Pilot Point will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 21-7 record after their 43-38 league win over S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX).
