Colby Eagles (Colby, KS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Lancers (Colorado Springs, CO), 77-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Colby upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Eagles host Beloit (Beloit, KS) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Beloit won 72-51 in their recent non-league bout against Ulysses (Ulysses, KS)

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Ulysses Tigers (Ulysses, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 72-51 non-league loss to Beloit (Beloit, KS).
