California High School Basketball - Sunnyside can't hold off Hoover

January 18, 2024: Fresno, CA 93710

The Hoover Patriots basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Sunnyside Wildcats to 68 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McLane for a North Yosemite contest on Saturday, January 20. Hoover will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 66-61 league loss to Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 12-8.

The Wildcats (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Hornets enter the North Yosemite contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Sanger West was nudged by Torres (Madera, CA), 61-48, in a league contest.
