January 18, 2024: Sandstone, MN 55072 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Ogilvie Lions (Ogilvie, MN) and the host East Central Eagles (Sandstone, MN), saw Ogilvie's basketball squad wallop East Central by a tally of 78-35.
With the victory, Ogilvie improves its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Pine City (Pine City, MN) to confront the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Pine City won 77-57 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies (Isle, MN) in a A Section 5 challenge, on Friday, January 19. East Central will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 67-16 non-league loss to Pine City (Pine City, MN).
