The Leroy Bears basketball team (Leroy, AL), was nudged 24-20 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting McIntosh Demons (McIntosh, AL)

The Demons now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fruitdale for a 1A Area 1 battle on Monday, January 22. McIntosh will confront a Pirates team coming off a 69-12 non-league win over Millry (Millry, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 4-9.

The Bears (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Washington County (Chatom, AL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 12-0 record. In their last battle, Washington County edged Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL), 71-62, in a league battle.
