New York High School Basketball - Beaver River holds off Weedsport
January 18, 2025: Weedsport, NY 13166 The Beaver River Beavers basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Weedsport Wolverines to 65 in the Beavers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Beavers now have a 11-1 record. They play next when they host Sackets Harbor Central for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. Beaver River will confront a Patriots team coming off a 61-49 non-league loss to Tully (Tully, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Weedsport falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Cato-Meridian (Cato, NY) to confront the Blue Devils in a Section 3 Onondaga - Patriot National game on Wednesday, January 22. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 8-4. Cato-Meridian won 64-48 in their recent league game against Port Byron (Port Byron, NY)
