Minnesota High School Basketball - Windom can't hold off Cedar Mountain
January 18, 2025: Windom, MN 56101 Cedar Mountain Cougars (Morgan, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Windom Eagles (Windom, MN), 88-81 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Cedar Mountain upgrades its record to 13-0 on the year. The Cougars host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN) to face the Thunderbirds in a A Section 2 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 7-8. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop won 70-35 in their recent non-league match against Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN)
The Eagles now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairmont for a AA Section 3 match on Tuesday, January 21. Windom will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 61-42 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-5.
