The Sunnyside Wildcats (Fresno, CA) basketball edged the host Centennial Golden Hawks (Bakersfield, CA), 54-53 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 14-7 record. They play next when they travel to Sanger for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 22. Sunnyside will play a Apaches team coming off a 53-50 non-league win over Hoover (Fresno, CA). The Apaches record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Centennial falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Golden hawks travel to Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Mustangs in a South Yosemite - River bout on Tuesday, January 21.
