The Wheeler Lions basketball squad (North Stonington, CT), was crushed 66-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Foran Lions (Milford, CT)

With the victory, Foran advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Guilford (Guilford, CT) to meet the Grizzlies in a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a record of 3-4.

The Lions now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plainfield for a Eastern Connecticut IV battle on Tuesday, January 21. Wheeler will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 53-48 league win over Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
