January 18, 2025: Rockford, IL 61107 Rockford Christian Royal Lions (Rockford, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL), 75-62 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Rockford Christian advances its record to 17-1 on the year. The Royal Lions travel to Eastland (Lanark, IL) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 15-2. Eastland won 49-30 in their recent league match against Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL)
The Skyhawks now own a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinckley-Big Rock for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Johnsburg will face a Royals squad coming off a 54-43 league win over Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL). The Royals record now stands at 12-4.
