Wisconsin High School Basketball - Johnson Creek overwhelms Monticello
January 18, 2025: Johnson Creek, WI 53038 The Johnson Creek Bluejays basketball team scored 74 points and limited the visiting Monticello Ponies to 38 in the Bluejays non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bluejays now have a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cambria-Friesland for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Johnson Creek will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 67-46 league win over Rio (Rio, WI). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Monticello falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Ponies host Pecatonica (Blanchardville, WI) to confront the Vikings in a Six Rivers - East game on Tuesday, January 21. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 5-5. Pecatonica won 65-31 in their recent league game against Albany (Albany, WI)
