Washington, DC High School Basketball - St. John's toppled by Providence Day
January 18, 2025: Washington, DC 20015 Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), 63-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Providence Day upgrades its record to 19-4 on the year. The Chargers travel to Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC) to face the Hawks in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent match on Tuesday, January 21. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 10-9. Charlotte Latin won 60-59 in their recent league match against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC)
The Cadets now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to GRACE Christian for a non-league match on Monday, January 20. St. John's will face a Eagles squad coming off a 50-43 non-league loss to Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-14.
