California High School Basketball - Mira Costa overwhelms St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy
January 18, 2025: Downey, CA 90242 The Mira Costa Mustangs basketball team scored 81 points and limited the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors to 44 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now have a 21-2 record. They play next when they travel to Palos Verdes for a game on Friday, January 24. Mira Costa will confront a Sea Kings team coming off a 70-18 league loss to Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA). The Sea Kings record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Warriors host North (Bakersfield, CA) to confront the Stars in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Stars go into the game with a record of 1-3.
