South Dakota High School Basketball - Alcester-Hudson can't hold off Scotland/Menno
January 18, 2025: Menno, SD Scotland/Menno Trappers (Menno, SD) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD), 38-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Scotland/Menno advances its record to 4-6 on the year. The Trappers travel to Freeman (Freeman, SD) to face the Flyers in a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. The Flyers enter the match with a record of 9-1.
The Cubs now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Garretson for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Alcester-Hudson will face a Blue Dragons squad coming off a 56-34 non-league win over Howard (Howard, SD). The Blue Dragons record now stands at 1-9.
