Illinois High School Basketball - Christopher holds off Anna-Jonesboro
January 18, 2025: Anna, IL 62906 The Christopher Bearcats basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats to 43 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bearcats now possess a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Trico for a Black Diamond - West game on Thursday, January 23. Christopher will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 70-66 non-league loss to DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Anna-Jonesboro falls to 5-14 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Charleston (Charleston, MO) to confront the Bluejays in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Bluejays go into the game with a record of 2-8. Charleston lost 63-35 in their recent league game against Scott County Central (Sikeston, MO)
