Kentucky High School Basketball - Lafayette crushes Shelby County
January 18, 2025: Lexington, KY 40503 The Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Shelby County Rockets (Shelbyville, KY), 70-26 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Generals now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington Christian for a District 43 bout on Monday, January 20. Lafayette will play a Eagles team coming off a 67-50 non-league win over Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 16-3.
With the loss, Shelby County falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Rockets host Western Hills (Frankfort, KY) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 23. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 8-6.
