Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Varsity Opponent (, ) and the visiting Sports Leadership & Management Cobras (West Palm Beach, FL), saw Varsity Opponent's basketball squad hold off Sports Leadership & Management by a tally of 74-72.

With the victory, Varsity Opponent improves its record to 194-610 on the campaign. The travel to Spring Creek Academy (Plano, TX) to confront the Spartans in a Freelance challenge on Thursday, January 20. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Spring Creek Academy lost 50-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Universal Academy (Irving, TX)
