North Carolina High School Basketball - St. Thomas More Academy succumbs to Wayne Country Day
January 19, 2022: Goldsboro, NC 27530 The Wayne Country Day Chargers topped the visiting St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors basketball team by a final score of 73-54 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain game, on Thursday, January 20. Wayne Country Day will attempt to move on its 14-6 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 10-4 record after their 41-40 league win over John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC).
With the defeat, St. Thomas More Academy moves to 14-4 on the year. The Chancellors travel to Neuse Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC) to face the Lions in a NCISAA Raleigh Area game on Tuesday, January 25. The Lions enter the game with a record of 5-5.
