The Higley Knights basketball team (Gilbert, AZ), was toppled 52-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK)

The Thunderbirds now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage Christian for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will confront a Warriors team coming off a 66-16 non-league win over Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK). The Warriors record now stands at 14-6.

The Knights (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Cougars come into the 5A San Tan battle with a 11-10 record. In their last battle, Casa Grande beat Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ), 79-73, in a league outing.
