Nebraska High School Basketball - Conestoga nips Falls City
January 19, 2023: Falls City, NE 68355 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Conestoga Cougars (Murray, NE) and the host Falls City Tigers (Falls City, NE), saw Conestoga's basketball squad hold off Falls City by a tally of 45-40.
With the victory, Conestoga improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Fort Calhoun (Fort Calhoun, NE) to play the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Fort Calhoun won 61-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Brownell Talbot (Omaha, NE)
Next up, the Tigers play the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Falls City will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 67-53 non-league win over Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE).
