Illinois High School Basketball - Sandwich topped by Genoa-Kingston
January 19, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 The Genoa-Kingston Cogs basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Sandwich Indians to 46 in the Cogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cogs now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Boone for a Big Northern contest on Saturday, January 21. Genoa-Kingston will battle a Vikings team coming off a 69-29 league loss to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 4-12.
The Indians (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Plano (Plano, IL). The Reapers come into the Interstate 8 contest with a 8-15 record. In their last contest, Plano dropped by Ottawa (Ottawa, IL), 43-18, in a league contest.
