The Walker Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Red Bank Lions to 37 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boyd-Buchanan for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Walker Valley will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 47-39 non-league win over Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-4.

The Lions (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN). The Eagles come into the 3A District 6 contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Signal Mountain was routed by Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN), 35-30, in a league contest.
