Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton River crushes Craig County
January 19, 2023: New Castle, VA 24127 Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA), 53-18 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Staunton River upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Lord Botetourt won 59-56 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
Next up, the Rockets play the Covington Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Craig County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
