Nebraska High School Basketball - Centura fells Gibbon
January 19, 2024: Cairo, NE 68824 Centura Centurions (Cairo, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gibbon Buffaloes (Gibbon, NE), 64-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Centura upgrades its record to 1-12 on the season. The Centurions host Centennial (Utica, NE) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Centennial won 45-31 in their recent non-league bout against Raymond Central (Raymond, NE)
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Giltner Hornets (Giltner, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Gibbon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 50-37 non-league loss to Twin River (Genoa, NE).
