Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC), 58-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Red Springs upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Fairmont (Fairmont, NC) to play the Golden Tornadoes in a 2A Southeastern bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Golden Tornadoes come into the bout with a record of 11-3. Fairmont won 80-58 in their recent league bout against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)

Next up, the Dark Horses play the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) in a 2A Southeastern bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 56-31 league loss to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC).
