Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cony Rams (Augusta, ME), 78-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Blue upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to play the Black Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Black Bears come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Maranacook won 81-43 in their recent non-league bout against Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME)

Next up, the Rams play the Camden Hills Windjammers (Rockport, ME) in a A North bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Cony will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Windjammers come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 72-71 league win over Brewer (Brewer, ME).
