January 19, 2024: Newton Grove, NC 28366 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) and the visiting Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC), saw Hobbton's basketball squad overcome Neuse Charter by a tally of 58-45.
With the victory, Hobbton improves its record to 2-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to confront the Leopards in a 1A Carolina challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Leopards come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Lakewood lost 71-48 in their recent league challenge against North Duplin (Calypso, NC)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Neuse Charter will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 58-17 league win over Union (Rose Hill, NC).
