In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Liberty Magnet Patriots basketball team scored a tight 52-46 triumph over the Peabody Warhorses.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Southern Lab Kittens (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 22. Liberty Magnet will attempt to move on its 22-2 season record. The Kittens enter the match with a 15-8 record after their 62-29 league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA).

With the defeat, Peabody moves to 23-4 on the year. The Warhorses travel to Southwood (Shreveport, LA) to meet the Cowboys in a non-league match on Saturday, January 20.
