The Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) basketball knocked off the visiting Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), 66-52 in Friday's league test.

The Vaqueros (21-1) will now prepare for their test against Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Dust Devils go into the 3A Northern - East test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Dayton went down by Churchill County (Fallon, NV), 52-8, in a league test.

The Buckaroos now own a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spring Creek for a 3A Northern - East contest on Friday, January 26. Lowry will battle a Spartans team coming off a 31-29 league win over Elko (Elko, NV). The Spartans record now stands at 6-9.
