North Carolina High School Basketball - Porter Ridge nudges Carmel Christian
January 19, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105 Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC), 55-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Porter Ridge upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Pirates host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Cuthbertson won 52-40 in their recent non-league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Carmel Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
