First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC), 60-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, First Flight upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Nighthawks host Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Northeastern won 56-28 in their recent non-league bout against Currituck County (Barco, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Pasquotank County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 62-24 non-league loss to Holmes (Edenton, NC).
