January 19, 2025: Chicago, IL 60624 The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL), observed Providence-St. Mel's basketball team knock off Von Steuben by a score of 59-49.
The Knights (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against De La Salle (Chicago, IL). The Meteors come into the non-league challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, De La Salle prevailed over Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL), 48-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the North Grand Eagle Owls (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - White North challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Von Steuben will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record.
