January 20, 2022: Kearney, NE 68847 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) and the visiting Aurora Huskies (Aurora, NE), saw Kearney Catholic's basketball squad overcome Aurora by a tally of 53-40.
With the victory, Kearney Catholic improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Aquinas (David City, NE) to confront the Monarchs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 22. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a record of 2-12. Aquinas lost 43-40 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE)
Next up, the Huskies confront the Seward Bluejays (Seward, NE) in a B District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 21. Aurora will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 57-45 league loss to Crete (Crete, NE).
