Iowa High School Basketball - Grinnell can't hold off Nevada
January 20, 2022: Nevada, IA 50201 The Nevada Cubs basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Grinnell Tigers to 47 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cubs now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert for a non-league contest on Monday, January 24. Nevada will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-26 league win over North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-9.
The Tigers (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Newton (Newton, IA). The Cardinals enter the Little Hawkeye contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Newton was nudged by Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA), 67-41, in a league contest.
