Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 40-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ridgedale upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 27. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 0-17.

Next up, the Comets play the Ridgemont Golden Gophers (Mount Victory, OH) in a Northwest Central bout, on Thursday, January 27. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Golden Gophers come into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 42-20 non-league loss to Arcadia (Arcadia, OH).
