The Tikigaq Harpooners basketball team (Point Hope, AK), was overwhelmed 58-36 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK)

The Eagles now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bettye Davis East Anchorage for a 4A Cook Inlet battle on Tuesday, January 25. West Anchorage will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 30-18 league win over Eagle River (Eagle River, AK). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-4.

The Harpooners (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Kotzebue (Kotzebue, AK). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record.
