The Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI), 61-54 in Friday's league test.

The Chieftains (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Fraser (Fraser, MI). The Ramblers go into the Macomb Area - Blue test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Fraser got by Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI), 50-49, in a non-league test.
